The members of the Newburg Sportsmen's Club, welcomes you!
The Newburg Sportsman's Club is located along the Milwaukee River and Highway MY in the village of Newburg, WI. We are nestled on 37 acres of rolling and wooded terrain near the edges of the picturesque northern Kettle Moraine area of Washington county. It's here we host both public and league activities for both trap shooting and archery.

Like many other clubs, it has its origins in trap shooting, dating back to 1967. A new clubhouse was built in 1975 that featured kitchen facilities, a bar and an indoor archery range. Current property includes thirty seven acres of woods and open space for year-round utilization. In addition, nearly four hundred acres are leased for "members only" hunting of small game, deer, turkeys, and club released pheasants.
Club sponsored activities include winter and summer archery leagues for adults and juniors, spring, summer and fall trap leagues, pheasant hunting on preserve lands, and DNR approved education programs. All activities are coordinated and run by club members. See the full details in the Club Activities area of this web site.
Our sixteen week summer archery league consists of 28 3D targets in natural settings with unmarked yardage.
Public 3D archery shoots are always held on the fourth Sunday of June, July, and August each year. We save our best targets and a few unusual ones for these events. See more details in the Archery area of this web site.
Trap continues to be an integral part of the clubs activities. Spring and summer six person leagues begin in April and operate out of three trap houses with voice activated automatic traps. A fourth trap house is to be built this year. See more details in the Trap area of this web site.
The Newburg Sportsman’s Club sponsors several DNR approved educational programs each year. They consist of regular hunter education in the spring and late summer, trapper education in spring, and archery education whenever enough students dictate the need. Many members over the years have become DNR certified to teach these courses. Each course focuses on a hands-on approach to learning and culminates in a field experience and course shooting whenever the weather permits. An ATV safety course taught by our local DNR Enforcement Officer has utilized our facilities as well. See more details in the Education area of this web site.
Membership has been quite stable at around 80 members each year. Membership options are available at different fee levels based on new membership, renewals, NRA membership, working or non-working status. Youth membership is also available to anyone under 18 that does not have a parent as a member. Members may join at any time during the year with dues and work hours prorated for the year. See more details in the Member Info area of this website.
Meetings are held at the clubhouse at 7:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. So come join us! There is never a shortage of tales to share, or hunting and fishing plans in the making.
